Crews quickly bring house fire under control in northeast Calgary

Fire crews quickly extinguished a fire that had ignited a residential home in northeast Calgary on Saturday. On arrival, crews found a single family home with large volumes of smoke and flame coming from the front main floor of the house. "Crews performed an aggressive interior attack, and were able to confine the fire to the main floor of the house and do all necessary searches," Wilson said. Wilson said crews weren't met by anyone at the scene, and subsequent searches of the home determined that no one was in the home at the time of the fire. Wilson said the first fire crew arrived on scene at 4:08 p.m. and had the fire under control by 4:21 p.m.
