Coronation Street star Rupert Hill looked unrecognisable as he announced his return to acting. The soap star, 47, who played Jamie Baldwin on Corrie between 2004 and 2008, quit showbiz to run Manchester pubs such as Castle Hotel, Gulliver's and the Eagle Inn, which he co-owns with his wife Jenny Platt. Earlier this month Rupert also appeared on stage in Christmas show Tinsel at The Edge theatre in Manchester. After appearing in Coronation Street, Rupert decided he loved the city where the soap was filmed - Manchester - so much that he bought a home there. Screen star Rupert's soap character Jamie was the son of Bradley Walsh's character Danny Baldwin.
