Common items banned from hand luggage on flights to SpainEasyJet, Ryanair, Jet2 and BA all have strict hand luggage policies on flights to Spain and other destinationsThe summer is fast approaching and millions of people are planning their first foreign holiday in a couple of years , but with prices on the increase more and more travellers are opting for the cheaper alternative of only bringing carry-on luggage, rather than checking in a big suitcase. It’s vital therefore to be well informed about the rules, and popular airlines like Ryanair , British Airways, Jet2 and easyJet all have strict rules about what you can and can’t bring in your hand luggage. It can be an expensive mistake to make; if prohibited items are found at the airport security check, they will be confiscated. Travellers from the UK and other non-EU countries are subject to further restrictions , and the Spanish government has reiterated that Britons are not permitted to bring meat or dairy products into Spain. In addition, any food items being taken to Spain must be sealed in their original packaging, with the exception of baby formula.
