The Tripoli based Ministry of Transport announced today that the UK government has agreed to receive the black box of the crashed aircraft and analyse its audio and video data according to established international standards. This is in reference to the aircraft that crashed in Ankara killing the Western Libya’s Chief of Staffs and his accompanying delegation on board. To ensure the highest levels of technical integrity and professional impartiality in the investigation, the Libyan and Turkish sides agreed to send the aircraft’s black box to a neutral country. Following the German authorities’ inability to undertake this task, the United Kingdom was chosen as a neutral and reliable entity.
