The same event which took place at the Manhyia Government Hospital also in Kumasi, was also to introduce to the nursing mothers the health benefits of cocoa, especially products of the CPC . Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing director of the Cocoa Processing Company, Nana Agyenim Boateng, said the occasion was to show appreciation to mothers for their love and care, by which most people have reached where they are in the society. “Mothers’ day is especially designed to show appreciation to our mothers who conceived us in womb for nine months with pains and other diseases that associate with pregnancy. Cocoa helps nursing and lactating mothers, especially the antioxidant chemical that protects the human body.
