He made the statements while briefing the judicial magistrates at the Election Commission Secretariat, in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Monday. He stated the commission is accountable to: the nation, the constitution, political parties, and the public to hold a fair election. Nurul Huda furthered that more than 600 magistrates will perform their duties, from December 29 to January 1, to ensure a fair and reliable election. Election Commissioners Rafiqul Islam, Kabita Khanam, Brigadier General (retd) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury, and Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed also addressed at the briefing.
