The High Court bench of Justices Sheikh Hassan Arif and Razik Al Jalil gave the orders on Monday morning. The court directed the commission to accept the nominations of the BNP leaders and stayed the previous rejection order of the returning officers. Earlier, both the leaders had appealed to the Election Commission against the returning officer’s decisions which disqualified their candidacies for the conviction in separate criminal cases. Later, they filed writ petitions with the High Court as the Election Commission did to give any decision.
