Nanak announced this on Monday at a press briefing held at the Awami League president’s political office in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Speaking to reporters, Nanak said: “On Wednesday [December 12], Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will visit Tungi Para. She will officially start her electoral campaign after paying tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu’s grave. “After paying homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina will attend a public meeting in her constituency [Gopalganj 3]. Awami League Joint General Secretary Abdur Rahman; Organizing Secretaries Ahmad Hossain and BM Muzzammel Haque; and Information and Research Secretary Afzal Hussain were present at the event—among many others.
