THE Bureau of Customs (BoC) has encouraged its stakeholders to utilize its online services for business transactions to avoid unnecessary travel, as the entire Luzon island group is on enhanced community quarantine. Assistant Commissioner Philip Vincent Maronilla told The Manila Times that the use of the BoC’s Portal and Goods Declaration Verification System could be accessed through the official website of the bureau: Customs.gov.ph. He explained that through the Customs portal, the stakeholder could communicate with allCustoms offices to follow up documents, renew accredition and submit letter requests for lifting of cargo abandonment, among others. The BoC has activated a special assistance desk to immediately expedite the clearance and release of such shipments.
