They accused Karume’s children of lying to block the trustees from managing the estate so they run it themselves. The former Kiambaa MP’s children want trustees Henry Karume, Ngugi Waireri, Kung’u Gatabaki and Margaret Kamithi stopped from managing the empire. Other properties the children want the trustees barred from managing are the Village Inn in Kiambu county, Jacaranda Curio shop and Jacaranda Business. Kigera, Samuel Wanjema, Jane Mukuhi and Lucy Wanjiru want the court to allow them to run their father’s estate. Before Karume died, he appointed the Njenga Karume Trust to manage his multibillion-shilling estate on behalf of the family.
