Awatapu College students Molly Turnbull, left, and Sophia Babbage, and teacher Georgina Agius have raised money to buy books about breast cancer. A class of Manawatū students is well aware breast cancer can strike close to home and is raising money to help share stories about the disease. An art class from Palmerston North's Awatapu College held an art auction and used the money to buy books called Dear Boobs: One hundred letters of breasts from women affected by breast cancer, compiled by Emily Searle. Most of the class knew someone who had been affected by breast cancer, including teacher Georgina Agius. "It wasn't breast cancer, but that was still there, and we have a really close family friend who was just diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time.
