Rift Valley regional commissioner Wanyama Musiambo said cattle rustling and banditry will soon be a thing of the past. The commissioner said security officers will follow the stolen animals' footsteps to the last point, then residents will be forced to produce the animals. Participants will go through Marakwet, West Pokot, Turkana, Koloa, Ngoroon, Marigat, Turkwet and Kainuk. Musiambo said the government gave enough time to those with illegal guns to register them, but majority ignored the directive.
