Speaking on phone on Saturday, Kiambu County Commissioner said that police will not relent in the fight against crime. Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has condemned the killing of Ngechu location Chief Peter Kairu and asked the police to arrest the killers and bring them to book. Kabogo said that security of the county must be ensured for development to be realised. “If a government officer is killed brutally by criminals, then it means there is no security for locals,” he said. On Tuesday night the chief was murdered by unknown people, and according to eyewitnesses, the chief was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his Kabuku home in Limuru Sub County.
