Mandera county woman representative Fathia Mahbub on Saturday urged parents to help reduce the disability stigma in the region. She said parents contribute to the stigma by segregating and failing to educate children born with disability. Mahbub spoke in Mandera town as she presented 20 wheelchairs to people living with disability. She directed the area’s department of social services to map out all people living with disability for future planning. The MP said nobody chooses to be born with disability.
