Isiolo Governor Godana Doyo yesterday urged the national government to ensure quick completion of phase two of the Isiolo water project to end shortage and rationing in the county. Phase two of the water project is funded to the tune of Sh800 million. Doyo deplored the row between residents of the Maili Saba area of Meru county and the Isiolo Water and Sewarage Company, which has delayed completion of the project. He said this has prevented Isiolo residents from accessing the commodity. Project officer John Kung’u said host residents vandalise pipes and fill back trenches.
