Animation industry claims ready for renaissanceVietnamese cartoon industry is set to benefit from increased investment. Tran Thu Hien, general director of Vietnam Animation claimed investment would improve Vietnam’s animated features. VinTaTa launched a VND2 billion (USD91,000) animation script contest which attracted 800 entries from Vietnam and abroad. The first prize worth VND1 billion was granted to script entitled Monta Monkey in the bizarre Galaxy by four young people. A representative from VinTaTa said that the firm has completed construction of two modern studios in Hanoi and HCM City.
