Vietnamese, foreign children draw peaceful HanoiAn international painting contest themed “I love Hanoi – A Peaceful City” was held in Hanoi on May 27 in response to International Children’s Day (June 1). Foreign students participate in a painting contest themed “I love Hanoi – A Peaceful City”The contest attracted the participation of nearly 100 children, aged 5-15, from Hanoi and several countries like India, Russia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines who are living in the Vietnamese capital city. The event was a chance to encourage the creativeness of children and strengthen friendship and solidarity between Vietnamese and foreign children. She expressed her hope that children bring into full play their capacity and understanding to draw paintings highlighting the love for peace, the nation, the nature and Hanoi – the city of peace. Within the framework of the contest, 500 photos taken by photographers from 20 nations were exhibited.
