Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ‘corrupt number 1’ remark on former premier Rajiv Gandhi and said that the PM has hit a new low of pettiness. “Modi’s remarks were outright despicable,” said Captain Amarinder. “I want to make very clear that the SIT has been working as per the law. The fate of former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal will be decided by the court as the special investigation team will submit the report on Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan directly to it,” he said. He said he was always ready to take questions from public, which is why he holds interactive sessions with the people.
