Wycliffe Omangi Nyakundi, Benson Macharia Wamaitha and Zacharia Gachucha Muthoni (the taxi driver) appeared before senior resident magistrate Jane Kamau. Nasri Ochieng, a former KDF officer and Administration Police officers Timothy Nganyi and Rosemary Ngina and a fourth suspect Hamisi Juma were also charged with demanding Sh70,000 from Abdalla with intent to steal.
