Samsung Galaxy F42 received Android 13, it's the end of the road for the midranger
The Samsung Galaxy F42 is the latest smartphone by the Korean company to receive One UI 5.0 based on Android 13. The rollout just began in India, which is the main market for the phone. Notably, the Galaxy F42 is a rebranded Galaxy A22, 5G which also got One UI 5.0 in Europe. The new firmware version is E426BXXU3CVKC and if you are located in India, you can try checking for an update manually. Unfortunately, this is the last major update for the Galaxy F42 as it was released in early 2021 and has received two Android updates so far.

The rules, issued under the Casino Business (Regulation) Act of 2010, deem the Commissioner General to be the “authorised officer” in administering permits for the casino gaming business. Now, any existing operator of a casino gaming business or company willing to engage in a casino gaming business will have to apply for a licence. The initial licence is valid for five years and will cost Rs 500mn. Renewal would also cost Rs 500mn.

Outlook Lite for Android brings Microsoft's email app to budget phones
Microsoft quietly announced the launch of Outlook Lite for Android, a streamlined version of the company's email service designed to use less battery and storage space than the default Outlook app without sacrificing features or performance. Specifically, Microsoft says that Outlook Lite has all the main features of the Outlook experience neatly packed into a 5MB app that's optimized for speed, even on lower-end Android devices. And Microsoft isn't alone: pared down, lightweight apps serve a huge market of users with budget devices on older networks. Microsoft's new mail app doesn't cut any major features to earn its 'lite' moniker, but it won't work with as many email providers as the primary Outlook app. At present, Outlook Lite is only compatible with Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, MSN, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange Online accounts.

Commissioners have voted in favor of an inquiry that will explore in-space servicing, assembly and manufacturing (ISAM). This could help companies build satellites and stations in orbit, for instance, while finding new ways to deal with growing volumes of space debris. The support ISAM will ideally help the FCC adapt to space tourism, huge private satellite constellations and a larger general shift toward commercial spaceflight. Blue Origin, Axiom and other companies are building commercial space stations, and even NASA is preparing for a time when it might lease space aboard corporate facilities. In-orbit satellite repairs might also prove crucial in minimizing space junk from a wave of privately-operated satellites.
