Educators have had several months since the initial shock of ChatGPT and other AI bots that quickly infiltrated schools to reimagine classrooms and homework that fit the new age of technology. The preparation has taught educators two things: AI isn’t yet as smart as they thought, and they need to be more creative in their assignments. Kim, who also sits on a task force at Drexel regarding AI, says the school is preparing guidance for professors to send out in the new school year regarding ChatGPT and AI. Drozda attended a conference in North Carolina where teachers gathered to talk about data literacy and AI in the classroom. Recently, the AI Education Project teamed up with Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland to announce it will give AI education to teachers, students and school leaders, which will include professional learning opportunities and outreach programs.

With six weeks until the first 2024 Republican presidential debate, some hopefuls are finding creative ways to boost their donor numbers and ensure they make it on stage. Doug Burgum is offering $20 Mastercard or Visa gift cards in return for campaign donations of as little as $1. In addition to the donor threshold, Republican candidates must meet other requirements to quality for the party's first 2024 debate. They must sign a pledge backing the eventual 2024 Republican nominee. Weiner predicted that campaign tactics would only become more innovative as the 2024 election grows closer and the debate thresholds become steeper.

Two weeks ago, I had observed five owlets along with both parents, actively stretching and running in and out of their main burrow. Three of the owlets were hiding in the weeds surrounding one burrow while two others were about 50 feet at another one. Three Burrowing owlets sneak a peek at the photographer as they are trying to hide. Also, last summer, many of the owl nests were dug up by badgers before the owlets fledged, and the babies were destroyed. If you get a chance to watch both the squirrels and/or the burrowing owls, it can be very entertaining as they both prepare for winter.

When Emily Litman was in middle school, kids whose parents grounded them would blithely lament: “I just want to die." “Unalive” refers to death by suicide or homicide. It could be helpful, she says, to reserve words like “unalive” for such flippant references. Litman has mixed feelings about whether referring to suicide with “unalive” might help or hurt, but she's encouraged that kids are at least talking about it. Particularly, she says, if perceiving suicide as “unaliving” might make a struggling youth more likely to ask for help.

(AP Photo/Andrew Harnik, File)WASHINGTON – The Justice Department urged a judge Thursday to reject Donald Trump's efforts to postpone his classified documents trial, saying there was no basis for an “open-ended” delay sought by his lawyers. Federal prosecutors last month proposed a Dec. 11 trial for Trump, who is charged with 37 felony counts related to the mishandling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate, though the actual date will be up to the judge. Trump's lawyers countered this week with a request for a delay. Defense lawyers had also argued that Trump's busy campaign schedule for the 2024 Republican nomination needed to be taken into account in scheduling a trial. The Justice Department also disputed the suggested that an impartial jury could not be selected before the presidential election.
