Isabela is herself an architect with a masters in urban design and today, has dedicated herself to keeping the legacy of Burle Marx alive. In his 60 years of work, Burle Marx designed many spectacular private gardens for clients and businesses but he preferred the public spaces. On her father’s death in 2017, left with a wealth of historical documents, plans and drawings from the studio of Burle Marx, Isabela realised she had an enormous responsibility: to preserve this legacy. So in 2018 was born the Instituto Burle Marx which today holds this precious collection of records of more than 2000 projects. The prospective collaboration between the institutions dedicated to keeping alive the legacy of these three visionaries is something that both Isabela and Shayari find most heartening.

‘Barbenheimer’: Which movie will you choose?
EastIdahoNews.com went to the AMC Theater in Chubbuck to interview people going to either movie and ask them why they chose the one that they did. The two films are “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer”, directed by Greta Gerwig and Christopher Nolan and distributed by Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures, respectively. Being released on the same day, the internet blew up with memes comparing the two films, commonly known as “Barbenheimer” memes. Two people, Chloe Reid and Kiandra Brown, wore pink cowgirl outfits to the movie resembling a costume Robbie wears in the film. “Barbie is everything pink and feminine and all about womanhood, and Oppenheimer is so much more like serious and masculine,” Brown said.

New 'super-Earth' orbiting M-dwarf star discovered

Schools prepare for Round 2 with AI
Educators have had several months since the initial shock of ChatGPT and other AI bots that quickly infiltrated schools to reimagine classrooms and homework that fit the new age of technology. The preparation has taught educators two things: AI isn’t yet as smart as they thought, and they need to be more creative in their assignments. Kim, who also sits on a task force at Drexel regarding AI, says the school is preparing guidance for professors to send out in the new school year regarding ChatGPT and AI. Drozda attended a conference in North Carolina where teachers gathered to talk about data literacy and AI in the classroom. Recently, the AI Education Project teamed up with Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland to announce it will give AI education to teachers, students and school leaders, which will include professional learning opportunities and outreach programs.

Lanka Phosphate heats up after State Minister exposes corruption
Industries State Minister Chamara Sampath Dasanayake visited the Sri Lanka State Phosphate Company in Eppawala for an inspection, a heated situation arose when a group of employees tried to expose the fraud and corruption of the company. They pointed out to Minister that since the related sparepart is unusable, no arrangements have been made to exchange it. Lanka Phosphate Chairman Sandhya Ambanwala told the Minister that the full amount has been paid to the relevant Chinese company and despite request they had not taken it back. Then the Minister had asked to sack the relevant officer. But the concerned officer had told the Minister that the decision to import was taken by the Tender Board.
