You can still browse it, even though it’s pretty crude by modern standards. CERN made the software to create websites public domain in 1993, and the internet’s first conspiracy theory site probably popped up seconds later. When conspiracy theory culture moved online, it was following a pattern of early crank adoption of new technology, from easy duplication of photos fueling the Dreyfus Affair to home video equipment making it easier to make and distribute conspiracy films. On bulletin board systems, email lists, Yahoo groups, blocky websites on long-gone providers, and text-based forums like USENET, conspiracy theories flourished.

NEW YORK – “The Drew Barrymore Show” will begin airing fresh episodes on Monday but a lot of off-air controversy will be clinging to its typically bubbly host. That's because talk shows are covered under a separate contract — the so-called Network Code — from the one actors and writers are striking. People do not forget it.”Viewers who tune into new episodes of daytime talk shows these days will find a changed landscape. Guests aren’t always the A-listers with blockbuster TV shows or films to promote. But Bill Maher and Drew Barrymore and the hosts of ‘The View’ are not just getting by.

Source: phys.orgMagnetic skyrmions have received much attention as promising, topologically protected quasiparticles with applications in spintronics. Skyrmions are small, swirling topological magnetic excitations with particle-like properties. Nevertheless, the lower stability of magnetic skyrmions only allow them to exist in a narrow temperature range, with low density of the particles, thus implying the need for an external magnetic field, which greatly limits their wider applications.

FILE - Special counsel Jack Smith speaks about an indictment of former President Donald Trump, Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, at a Department of Justice office in Washington. (AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin, File)WASHINGTON – Federal prosecutors in the case charging Donald Trump with scheming to overturn the 2020 presidential election are alleging that the former president has targeted individuals with threats, harassment and inflammatory statements, a judge said Friday. The Justice Department has also conducted interviews with unnamed individuals describing the threats and harassments they have received, though the transcripts of those interviews will remain sealed. “The history of harassment and threats towards the individuals whose information has been redacted demonstrates the real likelihood that they could suffer further intimidation upon disclosure of their identities,” Chutkan wrote. Also Friday, Smith's team pushed back against the Trump team request to have Chutkan recuse herself from the case.

Prosecutors with special counsel Jack Smith's team wrote in a court filing late Thursday that there was “no valid basis” for U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan to recuse herself. A similar effort to seek the recusal of a judge in a separate New York prosecution he faces was unsuccessful.

This image released by the Toronto International Film Festival shows a scene from the film "Les Indsirables." “I come from an aristocratic family,” one woman says in the film. The biggest battleground isn’t just a war zone but the home. In recent years, Canada has reckoned with its past treatment of Indigenous people, including heinous sterilization programs and forced-schooling systems. “Coming to New Zealand, being Māori, we don’t see enough of ourselves on screen,” Waititi said.

Jon Cherry/ReutersVideo published Tuesday by NBC Denver affiliate 9NEWS shows Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and a male companion being escorted out of the Beetlejuice musical in downtown Denver Sunday night in a huff. The incident, which The Denver Post first reported, was spurred by accusations the Republican congresswoman was vaping, singing, recording the performance, and generally “causing a disturbance,” according to officials. In a police incident report obtained by the Post, an usher at the venue recounted what happened: “They told me they would not leave. I told them that they need to leave the theater and if they do not, they will be trespassing. I told them I would (be) going to get Denver Police.

Independent estimates have long suggested NASA already spent some $20 billion+ on the Artemis program 🚀. A moon-orbiting space station (Gateway) and a spaceship to shuttle the astronauts from the space station down the surface (lunar lander) must be designed, built, tested and then launched into space. So what is NASA doing to control Artemis’ costs 💰? Since then, I’ve been at Kennedy Space Center reporting on nearly every space shuttle launch and the retirement of the shuttle program with Atlantis’ final flight in 2011. And I continue to track NASA’s SLS as the Artemis I Moon Rocket is readied for rollout and first flight.

Run Rabbit RunImage: NetflixHorror’s had enough exorcism tales to last decades—especially with a new Exorcist movie coming next month—but The Pope’s Exorcist, released earlier this year, has found new life on Netflix for a reason. A few months after debuting at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, this Australian chiller starring Succession’s Sarah Snook made its way to Netflix to unsettle the streaming masses. Snook plays a doctor whose dark past comes back to haunt her, maybe literally, when her young daughter starts acting like she knows way more about her mother’s troubled childhood than she should. Florence Pugh gets to dig into that good ol’ horror trope, playing a fake medium who pretends she’s able to speak to the dead. It may be a King tale, but its suspenseful narrative and the main character’s mental-anguish deterioration spiral also owe a debt to Edgar Allan Poe.

By N.A.de S. AmaratungaAdequate nutrition is vital for both physical as well as mental growth and development of the human being. If this development is inadequate the whole nation would not advance in all spheres of human activity, the economic, cultural, sports etc. Though inflation may have come down, prices of these essential food items have remained high. At present these items are not within their reach and they cannot buy sufficient quantities required for adequate nutrition. Though vegetables are not too expensive people do not buy them in sufficient quantities required for adequate nutrition.
