Pub drinker, 37, 'deliberately kicked pregnant woman in the stomach
A pregnant woman lost her unborn baby after she was deliberately kicked in the stomach by a pub drinker during a Valentine's Day altercation, a jury was told. The expectant mother, who was 28-weeks pregnant, had to undergo an emergency Caesarian operation, but her baby daughter was stillborn. Mr Chaplin said that the pregnant woman - who had spoken to the defendant through the night - was trying to 'calm things down'. He then told officers he did not know if the person was male or female and said he would not have kicked out if he had known it was the pregnant woman. Tamil diaspora to be invited for talks
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed the United Nations (UN) that the Tamil diaspora would be invited for discussions to resolve issues in Sri Lanka through an internal mechanism, and that he would not hesitate to grant a Presidential pardon to Tamil youths in prolonged detention upon the conclusion of the legal proceedings concerning them. “The President said that the internal issues of Sri Lanka should be resolved through an internal mechanism of the country and said the Tamil Diaspora would be invited for discussions in this regard,” a press release from the President’s Media Division (PMD) said yesterday (20). The President pointed out that many youths who were arrested as suspects over terrorist activities were released after he came to power. The President also told Guterres that there are no attacks on protesters under his government and that a separate area has been set aside for protesters near his office. President Rajapaksa also explained the engagement with civil society organisations to bring about development and reconciliation in the country,” the PMD statement further said.

No date set for vaccinating kids

Realme GT Neo2 pricing and memory options revealed
Realme is teasing the GT Neo2 before the official unveiling on September 22, confirming a bunch of its key specs and giving hits about its design. Now an online retailer has added another bit as it mistakenly revealed the pricing of the handset. According to the listing, the Realme GT Neo2 is coming in 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage as well as in a beefier 12GB/256GB version. The base variant will go for CNY 2,499 ($387), the 8GB RAM option will set you back CNY 2,699 ($417) and the most powerful version will ask CNY 2,999 ($464). Obviously pricing outisde China is expected to be a bit higher, but we'll probably have to wait until the announcement event to know exacly by how much.

Detained traders released on bail
COLOMBO (News 1st); Bail was granted to two traders from Colombo, who were arrested on Sunday (19) for protesting opposite the Fort Railway Station. Two people, including the President of the United National Self-Employed Businessmen’s Association, Charles Pradeep were arrested on Sunday (19) afternoon for protesting in Colombo. They were arrested while conducting a protest opposite the Colombo Fort Railway Station against the directive to open liquor stores. Fort police arrested the duo for violating the provisions of the Quarantine Regulations. Charles alleged during a press conference on 17th September that the Government had taken action to open liquor stores at the behest of politicians.
