Veteran Indian star Naseeruddin Shah has taken to social media and pointed out that one of his memoirs is being pirated in Pakistan. The actor's 2014 book And Then One Day is being sold, translated into Urdu, in the country illegally, Shah shared on Facebook on Sunday. In And Then One Day, Shah, with his characteristic wit and candidness, takes readers on a compelling odyssey from his early years to the pinnacle of success. It further read, "For many, a Naseeruddin Shah play, film or dramatic reading feels like a ploy to bring all these generations closer together. Woman manhandled by police officer, authorities suspend ASI
TAXILA - A woman was manhandled and slapped by a police officer outside local court in Taxila, district Rawalpindi on Saturday. High police authorities suspended the cop. According to details, a woman showed resistance after a police attempted to arrest her son Baseer Khan from outside local court of Taxila. Police made all efforts to separate woman from her son by using force and an officer slapped woman and dragged the suspect into the police van. The video of the manhandling and slapping of woman by police went viral on social media.

The state of affairs in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir remains extremely alarming since the Government of India revoked Article 370 of the Indian Constitution stripping the territory of its autonomy. By canceling Article 370 of the Constitution, the Indian government has given people from the rest of India the right to buy property in occupied Kashmir and settle there. Congress leaders had warned Narendra Modi against abrogation of Article 35A and Article 370, which gives special status to Kashmiris.

New govt hopes spur stock market

Pakistan’s dollar bond prices jumped in the range of 1-6% after the two major political parties reached an agreement on forming the next government, he said. Arif Habib Limited (AHL) reported that the market remained buoyant, taking the index beyond 62,000 points from 59,000 last week. Investor sentiment got a boost as the winning political parties reached agreement to form a coalition government. Sector-wise, positive contribution to the market came from exploration and production (623 points), banks (513 points), technology and communication (355 points), fertiliser (255 points) and power (254 points).
