The way the PTI is playing with the fireball of social media is alarming. Who is the architect of PTI’s social media policy? Who is strategizing its social media? Even if the twitter of a prisoner is working in a symbolic way the question is : on what terms and conditions? 3rd world countries must not be kept hostage to this social media war being strategized from outside serving some powers quite known but still unknown.

NEW DELHI - Narendra Modi was sworn in as India’s prime minister on Sunday for a third term, after a shock poll setback that will test his ability to ensure policy certainty in a coalition government in the world’s most populous nation. “Honoured to serve Bharat,” Modi posted on X, minutes before he was sworn in, referring to India’s name in Indian languages. Supporters cheered, clapped and chanted “Modi, Modi” as the name of the 73-year old leader, dressed in a white kurta tunic and blue half jacket, was called to take his oath. Modi was followed by senior ministers in the previous government: Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Piyush Goyal, among others. When Modi was the chief minister of the western state of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014, BJP enjoyed strong majorities, allowing him to govern decisively.

Slovenia, a country in central Europe, recognized Palestine earlier this week, following the actions of Norway, Spain, and Ireland last month. While the Palestinian people must find some comfort in such international support, the pressing issue of ending Israel’s extermination campaign still needs to be addressed. Why will Israel’s belligerents cease when they are aware that the United States of America stands up for them in all significant international fora? The most recent horror was the Israeli attack on a United Nations school, which claimed almost forty lives. The international community must eventually hold Israel and its supporters responsible for the deadly rampage that Gaza has endured.

Intense Israeli air strikes have targeted the Nuseirat, Bureij, and Maghazi refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip, OCHA said. He said last month that he would resign from the war cabinet if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not approve a post-conflict plan for the Gaza Strip by June 8.
