The decision by Procter & Gamble to discontinue manufacturing operations in Nigeria, opting for an import-only model, is indicative of a broader trend that may see more companies shutting down due to the ongoing forex challenges. The American company said it was shutting down manufacturing operations due to challenges operating as a dollar-denominated organisation and attributed its strategic shift to the macroeconomic conditions in Nigeria. At least five multinationals have winded down operations in Nigeria in the last 10 months. One of these firms is GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria – the firm announced plans in August to exit the country after 51 years of operations. “They have many reasons; it could be because of high inflation, high exchange rate, and insecurity, the problems are humongous,” he said.

Photo from Team MagsayoLONG BEACH, California – Mark Magsayo made a statement to the rest of the 130-pound division. Magsayo scored an emphatic one-punch knockout victory over Isaac Avelar Saturday night before a partisan crowd at the Infinite (also known as the Thunder) Studios. Sometimes, according to Pep Guardiola, “you need a punch in the face” to see how you react. Manchester City have received a metaphorical blow after four games without a win in the Premier League to derail their challenge for a fourth successive title. Given those fixtures, there is every chance City could enjoy three months of accumulating points after a difficult period. “For me as a manager I don’t say: ‘We lose games because you don’t run, you don’t fight, you are complacent, you don’t have character’ – it’s too simplistic. Rodri will be back in central midfield, adding the assurance Guardiola requires because without his compatriot in the Premier League, City have often fallen short.

Disclosing his last testament in a recorded video, as instructed by the octogenarian, Mr Barry Oke Atavwada, one of his aides, said he reiterated his mission on earth, that he was born a hero, lived as one, and died as one. I was born a hero, I have lived the life of a hero. Amid gasps for breath, he averred: “… a good man, a good man….he cherished my life” (apparently referring to Governor Oborevwori) before lapsing into a coma on Sunday, according to Mr Atavwada. Oborevwori wasn’t as close to him as some people, but Oborevwori showed love and concern as a good man. “He pleaded with Oborevwori to help four persons who were close to him, aside from the children.

If you have someone in your life who is a lover of Scotch, but not a lover of its prices, this one’s for you. The 10-year has crept up and up to its current resting place above $100. Couvreur is a Belgian who showed up in Burgundy in the ‘50s with the intention of making wine, and ended up blending and aging artisanal Scotch whisky instead (his family now runs the operation). This shows all of the dried fruit and slightly nutty profile of sherry cask whiskey paired with the high-toned, saline profile I seek from great Scotch. Easily one of the most unique whiskies I’ve tried under $100.

“It’s normal, healthy and evolutionarily important.”It can be a powerful force for good, says David Woolfson, anger specialist and psychotherapist. Then take it a step further: “Think about more vulnerable feelings like ‘let down’, ‘hurt’, ‘embarrassed’, ‘jealous’ – and write those down. … or do nothingThe urge may be to lash out, hit something or burst into tears, but Woolfson says: “If you can do nothing when you’re angry, you’re doing a lot because otherwise you’d be doing all those unpleasant things. “It depends on where you’re looking, what you’re reading and watching, and who you’re listening to,” says DeFoore. When we don’t pay attention to those, we build up the anger ourselves.”ExhaleThink you’re about to blow a fuse?

Accelerating inflation and the foreign exchange shortage in the country have been having adverse impacts on the businesses of oil marketers, OPEOLUWANI AKINTAYO writesThe country’s high inflation trend and scarcity of foreign exchange are beginning to take a serious toll on the businesses of oil marketers. “The forex has been badly managed and this has impacted on the landing cost of PMS, and by extension the pump price. According to Akinrinade, the downstream business has been unstable as a result of the high cost of products. Bank lending rate is also very high, contributing to the high cost,” he said. According to Kyari, high production costs would impede the adoption of clean energy in Nigeria.
