British author Neil Gaiman’s Chivalry, the second tale from his collection of short stories (or more aptly 'fiction and illusion') called Smoke And Mirrors (1998), is set to be adapted into a graphic novel on Sept 8. Gaiman and Doran worked together in 2019 on Snow, Glass, Apples, which adapted Gaiman’s 1994 short story. In classic Gaiman style, Chivalry is a humorous and entertaining short story about love, growing old and the fantastical. The story revolves around Mrs Whitaker, an elderly British widow who unwittingly buys the Holy Grail from a second-hand shop. “Now she's created a whole new style to tell the story of Mrs Whitaker and the Holy Grail, and I'm thrilled with every page she sends me.

"Despite the mental training, when I went out on the soccer pitch and watched the teams lining up, I could hear my heart racing. Inspired by her uncle, who was a referee, Monzul switched to officiating. Then your skills will be in demand, no matter if you are a man or a woman," Monzul told Reuters. To be eligible for officiating men's matches, she has to pass a men's fitness test, the toughest part for a woman, Monzul said. She said there was no difference between refereeing a men's or women's match, except that it is a common thing for men's clubs to gift Monzul flowers.

In other words, intelligence is a form of action, and not an ability to use one's thoughts and sometimes get lost in them or to "rationalise effectively." There is a tendency to think that a high IQ is indicative of superior intelligence. And this state cannot be reached if one stops to reason and argue; it is a state of action. Intelligence is therefore, according to you, an action rather than an ability. Intelligence is not an ability, it is the dynamic process that leads to the revelation of an ability.

Extrinsic sugar is sugar added to foods during the making process to enhance the flavour or for other functions. On the other hand, intrinsic sugar is the natural sugar found in fruits, vegetables and milk products. Studies have also found that a diet high in sugar may reduce the intake of micronutrients in children. Excessive calorie intake can occur with overconsumption of sugar, as well as with high intake of fatty, fried and oily foods, and overconsumption of carbohydrate-rich foods.

LONDON: Amazon on March 4 launched its first “just walk out shopping” outlet outside the United States, as the online retail giant steps up its competition with traditional supermarkets and other retailers. The outlet, according to Amazon, is the “first convenience grocery store to offer just walk out shopping in the UK” and its “first physical shop and grocery store outside of the US”. To use the new outlet, customers have to download an app and then scan a QR code before an electronic gate swings open and allows them to browse a range of Amazon-brand products. Benjamin Rogers, 31, a sales manager who lives in the area, stopped in to buy ingredients for a cake and said the speed of shopping at the Amazon store made it appealing. Despite the ease of her shopping experience, Dolphin said she was somewhat troubled what about the arrival of the Amazon shop would mean in the long term.

My pet, Odie Valentino, was born on July 7,2013, to a Shih Tzu mum and a Miniature Poodle dad. Described by the breeder as cute, affectionate, friendly, and highly adaptable to condo living, Odie was our obvious choice. Odie Valentino was named after a character in Garfield the comic strip and cartoon show. His love for us grew as did our love for him, and he understands us all. That unbridled happiness and unconditional love makes me suffer separation anxiety whenever I take short breaks away from my pet.

The growing availability of “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) services is raising concerns that many users may be caught in this new debt trap in the long term. The ease of access could become the BNPL service’s biggest drawback as ease of access to credit has far-reaching consequences. While BNPL services are still nascent in Malaysia with only a handful of active providers, it has grown by leaps and bounds in Singapore over the last five years. Under the Financial Services Act (FSA) 2013, leasing, factoring or hire-purchase businesses would no longer be subject to the supervision of Bank Negara. So far, BNPL services in Malaysia are limited to online purchases.
