But reacting to the publication Monday, Mr. Davies clarified that such publication was malicious and a misinformation to the public. Nathaniel Patray as Governor, Mr. Davies clarified that he was in the United States of America, scheduled to undergo Orthopedic Surgery due to a leg fracture he suffered during an Old timers Soccer game on the Barnersville soccer pitch. Mr. Davies further clarified that in the second instance when the government reached the determination to find Governor Patray successor he was again contacted. As part of the plan, the company is investing in an Argo Oil Production Plant in the Industrial Park. The company hopes to buy crude palm oil (CPO) from local farmers and plantations in Liberia. According to the agreement, the company has no intentions of doing so because they do not want to compete against farmers. The passage of the Fouani Investment Agreement is expected to boost farmers in that their labour will now directly be realised without having to suffer because of limited resources which could not allow them to export their products before getting money from same. Additionally, the agreement allows the investors to construct, use, improve, and maintain existing roads and transportation facilities in the project areas.

The CDC Chairman, Nathaniel McGill became known as the de-facto President as he reportedly had the final word in every appointment made by President Weah. The sanctions have a condition that individuals who interact with the sanctioned officials will also be targeted by future sanctions. Even when the CDC was in opposition for twelve years, Koijee kept the CDC active, dedicating all his time to the activities of the party while other CDC officials were searching for jobs. On late Friday, the United States of America State Department imposed sanctions on Koijee in what is seen as breaking the last straw on the CDC. With Koijee now facing sanctions, it is a very difficult period for the CDC and many pundits believe the party is nearing its doom.

Britain will send two Royal Navy mine-hunting ships to Ukraine to aid detection of Russian mines in the Black Sea and help Kyiv restore maritime exports, the UK government said Monday. Ukraine’s ability to move exports by sea has been severely impacted since Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and his blockade of the Black Sea. “These minehunters will deliver vital capability to Ukraine, which will help save lives at sea and open up vital export routes,” Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said. The initiative will enhance Ukraine’s ability to defend its sovereign waters and bolster security in the Black Sea, he said. Shapps was also expected to announce further details of UK military support to Ukraine at the launch.

By VOA News |In a statement, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said the U.S. Arctic region — which consists of the state of Alaska — is warming faster than any region in the United States and demands immediate action. In the same statement, NOAA Administrator Rick Spinrad said, the call for grant proposals is designed to both gather data and help Alaskan rural and Indigenous communities. “Providing communities with environmental information that allows them to make informed decisions in the face of a changing climate is the foundation of creating a more climate resilient nation,” he said. The most recent NOAA National Climate Assessment indicates Alaska is warming at a rate that is two to three times faster than the lower 48 states, and the Arctic as a whole is warming nearly four times faster than the rest of the global average. By FRANCIS KOKUTSE and SAM METZ, Associated Press |ACCRA, Ghana (AP) — The United Nations’ top peacekeeping official defended the organization’s missions worldwide as concerns grow that they’ve gone into retreat as African leaders demand their withdrawal from Mali to Congo. Security Council to be extended, have gradually gone into retreat in Africa. In June, leaders in Mali requested the United Nations withdraw peacekeeping forces. The two-day ministerial meeting in Accra is taking place as polarizing divides emerge among United Nations member states about wars in Ukraine and Gaza.

The move marks another escalation in the West’s efforts to enforce the $60 price cap on seaborne shipments of Russian oil it imposed to punish Moscow for its war in Ukraine. The mechanism bans Western companies from providing maritime services such as transportation, insurance and finance that facilitate the trade of Russian oil sold above the cap. Russia has increasingly had to turn to a so-called “ghost fleet” of aging tankers to ship oil and avoid the cap. Panama, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and Liberia have allowed some of those ships to carry their flags, according to Lloyd’s List Intelligence and oil analysts. The practice, known as “flag hopping,” allows some shell companies that have been set up to trade Russian oil to sail with ships under those flags and dodge sanctions.
