This event is an annual Masters Cross Country race held between England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales, bringing together top master athletes aged 35 and above. Each participating country holds their own trial race to determine their international team members and the rotation ensures each of the participating countries will host the event once every five years. Well done to Eileen and the entire W70 team! Originally from Mount Temple, Eileen lives in Athlone after moving back to Westmeath from Cork.

Sage Group shares jumped by a fifth to trade at a record high on Wednesday as the business software group hiked investor payouts after a bumper financial year. The group, which provides businesses with accounting and payroll solutions, told shareholders that underlying operating profits had rocketed 21 per cent to £529million in the year ending November. Total underlying revenue jumped by almost £200million to £2.3billion, thanks to higher sales across all regions and customer subscription penetration expanding by three percentage points to 82 per cent. And on a statutory basis, the Newcastle-based group's operating profits climbed by 43 per cent to £452million, thanks to an absence of property restructuring charges and adverse currency movements. Boss Steve Hare said: 'Sage has delivered another successful year, achieving strong, broad-based revenue growth together with significantly higher profits and cash flows.

Olivia KelleherA probation and welfare report has been completed, and the sentencing will take place later this month of a 46-year-old woman who has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of a Cork mother of two. Ms Sheila Dunne (50) died following a single vehicle collision in Sarsfield Court in Glanmire in Cork last February. Jennifer Thomas of Oakfield View, Glanmire, Co Cork appeared before Cork District Court earlier this year when she was first charged with the offence. On October 29th last, Ms Thomas pleaded guilty to the charge of dangerous driving causing death. Ms Thomas was sent forward for trial on the first day of sessions at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
