There were various reports on social media that Bridget Otoo, who was supposed to anchor the major news for the station starting Tuesday, August 3, had been prevented from entering the Metro TV studios after she was done with her makeup. #FixTheCountry protestor showers praise on IGP for the conduct of police officers during the march
Owing to the history between the campaigners and the police, there were suspicions of possible clashes between the police officers and the demonstrators. University of Ghana slapped with $165m judgement debt
The University of Ghana had defaulted on a flagship developmental partnership programme backed by the US government; therefore, Global Insurer Chubb Ltd. asked a New York federal judge to confirm a $165 million arbitration award against the University. The award reflects the value of rent income that the new campus facilities would have generated, Chubb told the court. University of Ghana was unable to procure a contractually required letter of credit, according to the Chubb petition, and moved to terminate the contract, triggering arbitration in 2018. The University of Ghana did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Counsel information for the University of Ghana was not immediately available.

Olympic Games: Ghana qualifies for final of men’s 4x100m race

Pastor, 47, commits suicide after wife threatened to divorce him

A report was made to the Police who came to the crime scene and conveyed the dead body to Abura Dunkwa Mortuary for preservation.
