The court found the JHS student guilty of assaulting the teacher who punished him for failure to do his homework on February 22 this year. Although he denied conspiring with 15 other men to assault the teacher, the juvenile offender was found guilty after trial. On Monday, February 22, at about 1215 hours, the teacher, accompanied by Roger Asempa, the Head Teacher, went to the Police Station to report the assault. The teacher reported that at about 1200 hours, a student in his class and 15 other young men from the Nungua town came to the school in a bus to assault him physically.

This, according to the Ashanti Regional Director of the NHIA, Kwadwo Tweneboa-Kodua, means that the nearly half of the Ghanaian population registered onto the NHIS will now have to use the Ghana Card to access healthcare services in public facilities and registered private outfits in the country, reports graphic.com. The NHIA boss made this known at the authority's mid-year review meeting in Kumasi. He noted that the authority is intensifying its public education on the new arrangement, all in an effort to ensure a smooth running of the exercise. It is the expectation of the NHIS that the merging of the two cards would be cost-effective to the country.

A communique signed by the Registrar-General Jemima Oware stated: “We wish to inform the business community and the general public that the RGD will end its validation of dormant companies at the end of September 2021. These dormant companies were public/private companies limited by shares; public/private companies limited by guarantee (associations, fun clubs, churches etc. Meanwhile, dormant and defaulted company officials are being contacted by the department to file their returns with the department before the end of September 2021. The department urges clients to visit its website to view the list of companies the Registrar-General intends to strike off the register.

Popular airline KLM a few weeks ago decided to take off meat from their meals, according to Dutch National daily Telegraaf as cited by paliparan.com and other online portals. A Ghanaian couple based in the Netherlands who had heard and read about this decided to raise objections to this because meat is a ‘whole mood’ in their home country too. Like Argentina and Texas, they wanted Ghana to be added to the list of countries omitted from KLM’s meatless dish flights. “We were asked if we were the ones spreading lies about KLM,” Nico van Staalduinen who’s married to a Ghanaian wife narrated to Laud Harris Adu-Asare on #SayItLoud. Explaining why cases sometimes delay at the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Bulley, Clinical Coordinator at the unit explained that cases are treated according to the severance as determined after checks. Dr. Bulley, whilst explaining what happens at the emergency unit on a daily basis said that the case of every patient referred to the emergency ward is determined by objective values. These values are determined at the triage unit of the hospital by nurses. He also revealed some intriguing details about what goes on on a daily, at the emergency unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
