The Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) has consistently evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of its audience, embracing the use of modern technologies. As part of the museum’s vision to give digital art the same prominence as its traditional collections, it has set up a Digital Artist in Residence Program. The agreement will entail the launch of distributed energy infrastructure that will utilize HODLER Investments’ digital energy platform, PermianChain, to monetize wasted energy such as flared gas to reduce CO2 emissions and to power AI and blockchain datacenter infrastructure. Ethiopia’s national flag carrier and largest Airbus operator in Africa, Ethiopian Airlines, has taken delivery of its first of four A350-1000 from Airbus in Toulouse, France. With a total capacity of 395 seats, the A350-1000 will increase Ethiopian Airlines’ passenger capacity and provide enhanced passenger experience in the largest business class cabin in the airline’s fleet. Ethiopian Airlines will also introduce Airbus' new HBCplus satcom connectivity solution, offering seamless, high-speed gate-to-gate connectivity. The aircraft’s new generation engines and use of lightweight materials make it the most fuel efficient large widebody aircraft. As with all Airbus aircraft, the A350 aircraft is already able to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

borkenaToronto – Amnesty International on Wednesday released a statement on the state of human rights situation the Amhara region of Ethiopia. “Amnesty International research has found that since 28 September 2024 the task force has filled four makeshift detention camps across the Amhara region with thousands of civilians,” Amnesty said. “Ethiopia has entered a new era of disregard for national, regional and international human rights obligations. Amnesty International has also verified that new structures were erected in October. Several sources also told Amnesty International that authorities are running what they called “rehabilitative training” in these camps.

A joint task force composed of Ethiopia’s federal army and Amhara regional security authorities must end the month-long arbitrary mass detention of thousands in the Amhara region, Amnesty International said today. BackgroundAn armed conflict between the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) and Fano militia broke out in August 2023 in the Amhara region. A joint press conference by the ENDF and the Amhara regional government on 1 October referred to the mass detention campaign as “law enforcement, to stabilize the Amhara region and ensure peace.”Judges in the Amhara region do not have immunity from liability related to their judicial conduct.
