Asked who will finally take on the role of the parliamentary opposition, Quader said, "Who do you think should be the opposition?" Bangladesh records 30 new dengue cases, no deaths in a day
Hospitals in Bangladesh have recorded 30 new cases of dengue fever in a day, taking the tally of infections this year to 883 after the worst outbreak in the country’s history in 2023. The death toll remained unchanged at 14, with no fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in the 24-hour count to Monday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services. In 2023, Bangladesh recorded 321,179 hospitalisations and 1,705 deaths from the viral disease. In the latest daily count, hospitals in Dhaka admitted four more patients, while the other districts recorded 26 new cases. Of the 151 dengue patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country in the morning, 46 were in Dhaka and 105 outside the capital.

HC orders probe report on Ayan’s death to be submitted by Thursday
On Jan 15, the same bench had granted the director general of health services seven days to submit the report, Advocate Masum said after the hearing. Multiple districts close schools due to cold wave

But Bancroft told The Sun that despite the ruling, the chapter will continue to support Black Cornell students through community engagement. “I think we’ve learned from what’s happened in California.”In 1996, Proposition 209 largely rolled back affirmative action from being used in admissions for the state’s multiple public university systems. Katrina Greene ’27, the freshman representative of external affairs for the Caribbean Student Association expressed concern that the overturn of affirmative action will impact the membership numbers of CSA. After the Supreme Court’s overturn of affirmative action, President Pollack reaffirmed the University’s dedication to diversity at Cornell.
