He added that he is also eager to solve any problems that Korean companies operating in Egypt may face in the tax and customs fields. The Ministry of Irrigation on Saturday said that Egypt has signed a protocol for technical cooperation in water resources signed with South Sudan’s Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, which includes a project to prepare feasibility studies for the construction of a “multipurpose” dam. This comes as Egypt aims to implement several projects to serve citizens and achieve stability by solving drinking water problems and protecting against flood risks. The ministry prepared the integrated technical and economic studies for the project with the assistance of the National Water Research Center’s experts to prepare hydrological and hydraulic studies, survey work and contour maps of the site. CAIRO - 27 July 2020: Sudanese Minister of Cabinet Affairs Khaled Omar Youssef said Saturday that the process of initiating the second filling of the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is a very dangerous step that threatens the security and safety of Sudan. "We adhere to the peaceful option, and all means to defend our country and not allow any party to threaten its security," he added. Ethiopia conducted its first filling in July 2020 with 5 billion cubic meters. The total capacity of the reservoir is 74 billion cubic meters to be filled over several years [the years number is still one of the disagreements between the three countries]. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday morning, to participate in the tripartite summit between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan, with Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Iraqi Prime Minister, and King Abdullah II of Jordan. In a statement issued by Foreign Ministry Monday, The Foreign Ministry stressed that Egypt backs Iraq's measures to maintain its security and stability in the face of heinous terrorist operations. The Salahaddin plant in Samarra was hit by a Katyusha rocket causing huge material damage. Egypt’s Health Ministry on Saturday confirmed 409 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total number up to 280,005, ministry spokesperson Khaled Megahed announced. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 16,062 nationwide, after the ministry announced 31 deaths. And 438 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising Egypt’s total number of fully-recovered cases to 209,395. A total of 210,000 doses touched down at Cairo International Airport, according to the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement and Medical Supplies. The remainder of the doses will be delivered according to the contract in the coming period.

Egypt received on June 24, a consignment of 210,000 doses of Sputnik V anti-COVID-19 vaccine within a deal to acquire 10 million doses. Four women were killed on Friday when a building collapsed in al-Attarin neighborhood of Alexandria, northern Egypt. Civil Protection Forces in Alexandria said it managed to recover the body of the fourth victim on Saturday morning. Three others survived the collapse, and a 70-year-old woman was injured and transferred to Gamal Hamada Hospital for treatment. He added that the residents of the collapsed property were sheltered in a school under preparations of the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Alexandria. Naqidi said that all utilities such as gas, electricity and water were disconnected and heavy equipment and vehicles removed the rubble from the collapse of the property.
