Goaltender Jake Oettinger, coming off a Game 5 shutout of Minnesota, is 24. But for this generation of young Stars to truly be immortalized, playoff steppingstones like Friday night’s potential series-clinching Game 6 in St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center must be crossed. Since losing Joe Pavelski in Game 1 and falling in overtime, the Stars have flexed superiority and outscored the Wild 15-10 despite a stinker 5-1 Game 3 loss in St. Paul. “He’s doing some special things, for being at the stage of the career he’s at,” DeBoer said. It seemingly bodes well that young Oettinger on Thursday sounded like a wise veteran when asked about the Stars’ mindset entering Game 6.

The financial district will be home to Toronto’s first stock exchange-themed restaurant and bar, where drink menu prices will fluctuate based on demand throughout the day. CKTL & Co. — named after the stock ticker for cocktail — will be Ontario’s second restaurant inspired by the stock market. “We’re here to set standards, not follow trends,” said John Ko, mixologist and the restaurant’s beverage manager, of their drinks menu. However, only a select number of drink items will be on CKTL & Co.’s stock screens each day. While the establishment has food, like CKTL & Co., it operates under a similar model that only sees drink prices fluctuate.

they failed to properly coordinate this work properly and now we are on the hook both in time and money to replace this at a snails pace. sometimes things dont line up but its their jobs to verify on site and make sure everything is communicated properly. Some of these errors could have been detected during the construction process if there was proper oversight. Proper oversight by knowledgeable people costs money, but fixing it after is likely more expensive. And the excuse that they inherited this poorly managed project from a "liberal" government is crap. If it was built the way it was intended, it would have been finished three years ago.

A House of Commons health committee is studying the feasibility of a national breast implant registry, something advocates have been calling for since the 1990s. "To me, it's something that should have happened the moment breast implants started to be manufactured in 1964," she told CBC. The federal feasibility study will look at what information might be included in a national registry and how it might function once it's in place. "Any next steps with respect to a breast implant registry would heavily depend on its purpose, structure, and design," Johnson wrote in an email. He described a breast implant registry as a "complex endeavour" that would require participation and coordination from multiple levels of government.

In 2021, in what has been described as “a coup within a coup,” the Sudanese military, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, took control of the government. Al-Bashir, the former president, came to power with the promise to end decades of civil war, but that did not come to pass. While he is reported to have negotiated an end to the second Sudan Civil War in 2005, which led to the creation of South Sudan, he was also charged with war crimes, including genocide, for overseeing a conflict in Darfur that reportedly killed 300,000 people and displaced some three million. The civilians are, frankly, no longer relevant,” said Nicholas Coghlan, Canada’s former top envoy to Sudan and its first ambassador to South Sudan. Joly said there were 1,700 Canadians registered with the government as being in Sudan, who the federal government is reaching out to.
