Fish farm rights are ocean management rights for B.C. For coastal Nations, the ocean has always been the backbone of our culture, history, and way of life. Aquaculture and mariculture are not new to us, no matter how recent the modern methods of salmon farming are compared to traditional terrestrial agriculture. Those Nations who want to pursue fish farming in our waters should be able and trusted to do so. We believe we can help protect wild Pacific salmon in our waters by offering the world an alternative to that dwindling resource, and by putting dollars gained from salmon farming back into wild salmon enhancement and watershed rehabilitation.

Miller says she would have missed the bobcat's visit had it not been for a daughter who was home sick from school. But the closeup shots Miller was able to get helped identify her visitor as a bobcat, which researchers say are pushing futher into B.C. If the animals are seen in urban areas, it is advised that pets be kept indoors, and sightings are reported to the B.C.

With travel advisories removed, Powell River were still able to get their road game in against Vic West. Vic West were not hospitable at all and defeated the Villa squad by score of 5-1. Scoring for Vic West was Kaelan Cooke, Salem Almardy, Daniel Pritchard, and Yassin Guitourni hit a double. Vic West and Highlanders wins allow them to move up the standings some in 2nd & 4th spots respectably.
