A Samsung high-bandwidth memory chip. Those chips in turn work with high-bandwidth memory chips to enable the type of algorithms powering generative AI systems. SK Hynix has emerged as the main supplier of high-bandwidth memory chips to Nvidia. In May, Samsung replaced the head of its semiconductor business, who had admitted to early missteps in developing the AI memory chips. Intel, with roots as an all-in-one logic chip designer and producer, has similarly struggled to build out its foundry business.

The Alexandria City Council approved a series of changes to King Street near the Bradlee Shopping Center last night (Tuesday), but the discussion also touched on wider issues about how the City tackles its transportation infrastructure. The changes will take the access two-way road parallel to the Bradlee Shopping Center and turn it into a one-way westbound street with a dedicated bus lane and a two-way bicycle trail. Vice Mayor Amy Jackson, however, said she was concerned about the impact of the changes on some of the already strained traffic near the Bradlee Shopping Center. If your experience is ‘I’m at Bradlee Center and I don’t see anyone coming on a bike;’ Those restaurants and stores are not getting those customers. I go to Cortada Cafe, further from my house, because I can get there much more safely than I can the Starbucks and Duck Donuts at the Bradlee Center.

Justin Timberlake canceled a Tuesday night show in Newark, N.J., about an hour before it was set to begin. “I promise to make it up to you and give the show y’all deserve,” he wrote on Instagram. One fan cheekily wrote “this is gonna ruin the tour,” a callback to Timberlake’s alleged remarks to law enforcement when he was arrested in June. He is next scheduled to perform Friday in Philadelphia but it is unclear whether his injury will also scuttle that show. The singer will wrap the tour in Kansas City, Mo., on Dec. 20.

5 pick, Herbert capped off a decorated Oregon career with a Pac-12 championship and Rose Bowl victory in 2019. "It was awesome to see their success at Oregon, and especially his," Herbert said of Nix. The defense, led by cornerback Pat Surtain II, has buoyed the team struggling to find its footing with a rookie quarterback. His 102 completions through five games are third-most for a rookie quarterback in franchise history. But Nix has eliminated the turnovers in the past three games, becoming the first Broncos rookie quarterback with a three-game winning streak.

However, it’s not the AI technologies that develop these abilities for themselves — It’s the human minds behind them. He will discuss the limitations of AI’s potential, explaining where we must draw the line in attributing abilities to these technologies. “AI is like a toddler with a Ph.D.,” Marks said. The important line to draw on this subject, he believes, is to define the limits of where AI can even replace a human role. Generative AI is one of those technologies that really disrupts the way we have been living,” Pack says.

Attorneys for Sean “Diddy” Combs filed a motion late Wednesday accusing the government of leaking a video of the hip-hop mogul beating his former girlfriend and other evidence to the media, asking a judge to potentially bar the footage from a trial. The motion filed by Combs’ attorneys also alleges that authorities alerted the media about the searches in March of his homes in Los Angeles and Miami. His attorneys claim the alleged leaks make it hard for Combs to get a fair trial. Spokespersons for HSI New York and the US attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York declined to comment. Following the release of the video, Combs apologized.
