By Glenn Whipp, Los Angeles Times (TNS)Quincy Jones had already written his speech to accept an honorary Oscar this year at the motion picture academy’s annual Governors Awards. But he died two weeks before Sunday’s ceremony, so it was left to his daughter Rashida Jones to deliver his words. “Would we call it an Oscar?” Grant mused, wrapping up his speech. It’s a better-than-nothing Oscar.” Addressing Curtis, Grant added that he hoped they’d work together one more time, perhaps on “Four Funerals and a Wedding.”Accepting the award, Curtis good-naturedly returned the sentiments of Grant’s introduction. “I’m deeply grateful and profoundly moved because I watched my father accept this award in 1981,” Broccoli said.

Fortunately, Democratic governors will be a major part of this resistance and will not go “gently into Trump’s authoritarian night.” California Democratic Gov. In that office, Ferguson worked on improving health services for military personnel, mental health issues, and environmental matters. In the Washington State Attorney General’s office, Ferguson, as previously noted, was not shy about suing Demagogue Donald. In August, 2016, Ferguson announced that WA State would sue telecommunications company Comcast over deceptive consumer practices. We must strongly support Ferguson when he becomes Governor, the other Governors resisting Demagogue Donald, and similar groups fighting him.

My mission there was to create entertaining videos for social media using their star: a robot called Tinbot. Without him, they stopped creating regular content for the robot’s social media, decreasing the number of his followers and likes. My team was very helpful and willing to teach me everything about the robot, and also to give me some tips on social media, even though they were all programmers. The best part of working as a social media for a robot was when I had to record some videos. I don’t see myself on it anymore, but enjoyed the time I spent there, and strongly recommend having a robot as a boss – especially if it dances the Macarena.

Africa News of Monday, 18 November 2024Source: edition.cnn.comA South African court ordered police to end a standoff with illegal miners and allow emergency workers to gain access to a shaft where hundreds are believed to be holed up. The ruling follows growing concerns about the well-being of the illegal miners – who can spend months below ground – after police cut off food and water supplies. On Friday, the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) said in a statement it was investigating the police for restricting the miners’ essential supplies. The South African Police Service welcomed the court order but said that the ruling does not prevent the detention of illegal miners who are in good health. Three illegal miners resurfaced by Saturday afternoon, according to the police.
