The AP has gotten hold of the detailed plans for a military parade to celebrate Tinyhands McFelony's birthday next month. Those plans call for over 6,000 American military personnel, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, 7 bands and possibly a couple thousand civilians. No cost projection is included in the plans. Ukraine And U.S. Finally Sign Minerals Deal. Here's What It Means.

The deal covers minerals, including rare earth elements, but also other valuable resources, including oil and natural gas, according to the text released by Ukraine’s government. It does not include resources that are already a source of revenue for the Ukrainian state. The text of the deal lists 55 minerals but says more can be agreed to. Ukraine also holds some of Europe’s largest known reserves of lithium, which is required to produce batteries, ceramics and glass.

DOGE burned perhaps too brightly, and 100 days later, we seem to be in the twilight of the Musk era in Trump’s government. Last week, Trump noticeably described Musk in the past tense: “He was a tremendous help.”DOGE has changed the government, but not in the way Musk or Trump promised. I Expected To Find A Sense Of Community In Motherhood. Instead, I Got It At The Skate Park.
Third baby in under three years — years of birth trauma, multiple dark nights of the soul and sleep deprivation. Then, when I went back to work last autumn, life became an almost unbearable pressure cooker of work, babies, babies, work. The idea of being somewhere completely removed from the seemingly never-ending demands of work and family life felt like a welcome reprieve. These are the kind of conversations I expected to have with other parents but have found to be rare. Maybe that would be the key to building a real sense of meaningful community?
