Hundreds of people turned out for the 2020 iteration of the Run to Remember. The group met in Christchurch’s Victoria Park on Friday, the tenth anniversary of the September 2010 earthquake to launch The Press Run to Remember 2021. The group was made-up of representatives from sport, health and business and was brought together by event organisers Sport Canterbury. “In 2021, we recognise the 10th anniversary of the Canterbury earthquakes, and the sense of community and strength our city has become renowned for around the world.”Joseph Johnson/Stuff Sport Canterbury brought together a team of inspiring women to help launch the 2021 Run to Remember. Abby Wilson, Green Prescription team leader, said the Run to Remember was a really cool event that brought a diverse range of people together.
