He confirmed the second helicopter left the scene just after 3:15pm with a critically injured person. Simon Duncan, general manager of Garden City Helicopters, which provide the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, confirmed two rescue helicopters with paramedics were sent to the crash. About 10:45am, a motorcyclist was understood to be seriously injured when they were involved in a crash with a truck in Prebbleton, 17 kilometres southwest of Christchurch.
