Free food charity in Levin seeking more suppliers

A new food charity has opened in Levin to give people access to produce that would otherwise go to waste. Hope Kete is collecting food that would otherwise be thrown away and redistributes it to people in need. The Levin branch of the government-funded New Zealand Food Network has been set up as a result of the pandemic to collect surplus and donated bulk food. “They can understand our heart behind it.”However, the charity needs more suppliers. We need the food to come in.”Morley said Just Zilch gave them five pallets of food to start with, but that was almost gone.
