A worker was killed in a fire in a plastic and foam factory in the Abu Rawash area in Kerdasa on Saturday, Youm7 newspaper reported. Civil protection forces put out the fire, the paper added. Major General Hisham al-Iraqi, head of Giza Security Directorate received a communication stating that a fire broke out in a plastic factory after which civil protection forces and fire trucks were immediately dispatched to control the fire. No further information was reported on losses or the number of injuries.
