KARACHI: Police in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Wednesday arrested a woman allegedly involved in a string of robberies across the city. The woman named Chanda alias Aman was involved in over two dozen incidents of looting citizens withdrawing money from ATMs. CCTV footage of the robberies has also been obtained, in which she can be seen looting citizens withdrawing money from ATM machines. The police stated that Chanda, with the help of her two accomplices from Baldia Town, targeted people withdrawing cash from ATM machines in several areas of the city including DHA, Nursery and Tariq Road. At police check posts, she and her accomplices would usually be allowed to pass unchecked.
