Then in 2014, as Jeter was winding down his career, Tulowitzki was spotted in the Legends Seats behind home plate at Yankee Stadium. Injuries are why Tulowitzki is a Yankee eight years after Jeter eventually agreed to a three-year $51 extension following those contentious negotiations. And if Machado signs with the Yankees and Tulowitzki can stay healthy, it's plausible to think the Yankees could move him around the infield. Prior to missing all of 2018 and most of last season, Tulowitzki was regarded as above average but now it's unknown due to the injuries. The Yankees will soon find out if Tulowitzki can actually make the uphill climb and perhaps they will discover what Tulowitzki has left while he is a teammate of Machado.
