MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin’s Republican-controlled Legislature was poised Wednesday to send four anti-abortion bills to Democratic Gov. One bill up for final approve in the state Senate addresses the extremely rare occurrence in which a baby is born alive during an abortion attempt. President Donald Trump touted Wisconsin’s proposal during a visit to the state and mocked Evers for his promised veto. Scott Walker and a willing GOP-controlled Legislature passed several measures restricting abortion in the state, including a 20-week ban. Evers’ win last year allows him to block these abortion bills that likely would have been signed into law by Walker.
