Let’s first consider the “Never Trump” Republicans. “Never Trump” Republicans are not much in evidence. In the same NBC/WSJ poll, 86 percent of them disapproved of the job Trump is doing. In Gallup’s late February poll, 41 percent nationally said they strongly disapprove of the job Trump is doing. As Trump approaches his 100-day mark in office, it will be important to watch the size and strength of what appears to be the new “Never Trump” contingent.
