Compulsory mask wearing and the 'rule of six' will end indoors on July 19, dubbed 'Freedom Day' - as will many others. Currently a maximum of six people from different households can meet indoors, or up to 30 people from one to two households. Holiday and hospitality venues will not have to quiz you about your group from July 19, making holidaying easier - but they may still choose to do so. Yesterday health secretary Sajid Javid said high-risk crowded venues would be “encouraged” to use Covid passports at just a few days’ notice. From Monday eight people from four households can meet indoors, and ten people from four households can meet in an indoor public place, such as a pub.
