Weather alerts galore as Nova Scotia braces for a winter wallop

HALIFAX—Storm lovers anxiously waiting for a Nova Scotia winter wallop might get their way Wednesday as a system expected to move in overnight has the entire province under weather alerts. Environment Canada says Halifax and the rest of Nova Scotia is in for a winter wallop Wednesday. The national weather agency notes a low-pressure system crossing the Maritimes on Wednesday is expected to bring significant snowfall and strong winds to all of Nova Scotia. It’s expected to begin in the southwestern part of the province late Tuesday night, reaching eastern Nova Scotia by Wednesday morning. Snowfall amounts of between 15 and 25 cm is now possible for the Halifax area and most of Nova Scotia.
